First Ice-cream of the year

I am on an unexpected long lunch break at work! I normally have one hour of break, but today they decided for one and half hour, so I had all the time to eat my lunch and relax a bit before going back to the shop. So now I am sitting here in a small park eating my first good ice-cream of 2018!

I just found out I have Grom, my favorite ice-cream shop in front of where I work in these days, so I had to eat one. I went for yoghurt and salted caramel, which is by far my favorite flavor! What’s your favorite?

Casual Gothic outfit

I dress in total black almost everyday of my life, and not only for work, but because it’s the only solid “color” I like on me. Some days I also like to dress more gothic/dark, which actually is my true inner style, but I do like a more casual and elegant way to pull out my metalhead soul.

I was going to a convention with Davide, and since I wasn’t going to do any cosplay I dressed with a new bodysuit and skirt I bought at Bershka, along with those wonderful thights by Calzedonia and the leather waist chincher.

I completed the look with some accessories as the two studded bracelets and my favorite lace choker I bought on Aliexpress. Even thought I don’t have any full body picture, I was wearing some gothic shoes with platform heels I found really comfortable for long walkings!

I was wearing a nude metallic lip stain and some natural false lashes ’cause I didn’t want to spend too much time on doing my makeup neither it to be too heavy, but I also like to emphasize my eyes.
Below you will find the links to accessories and clothes I was wearing in the pictures!

A sweet break in Milano

I had a long break at work today, over two hours, and it’s an awesome sunny day! I’m still out enjoying every ray of it before going back to work, and before the clouds will take away the light. It was the perfect day for walking through the center of Milano eating a fresh focaccia with olives.

I felt the need to sit down and have something warm and sweet to drink, also I was still a little bit hungry so I went to Arnold Coffee, which is a lot like Starbuck’s! There weren’t many people, so I could sit there and relax a bit.

I had a hot Vanilla Latte and this little amazing donut 💜 couldn’t resist to it haha sometimes you just need a vanilla latte and a glazed donut to sweeten up your life!

Finally recovering!

I have been very sick in the last days, with high fever and soar throat. I couldn’t do anything but staying on the sofa all day, wondering when I would get better. I also lost 3 kilos ’cause I didn’t want to eat anything, and I blame all the medicines I was taking for that.

But now I feel better! The throat is ok, I just need some more few days so I can start singing again. Oh my, I have so many things I need to record and I wasn’t able to do anything!😭 How are you all? Anyone got a flu like me?

I took the DNA Test!

I want to start this post with a simple, but quite unfriendly question: have you ever had racist thoughts? If yes, what would you do if you discovered your DNA actually comes right from the ethnicity you had those thoughts about?
Stop for a moment and think about it.
Or maybe without speaking of racism, when you’re meeting some foreign people, they start speaking in their language ’cause they think you have their same nationality?
This thing happens to me everyday, as almost nobody thinks I’m italian. Mostly Russian people come right at me talking in russian, and they don’t even believe me when I say I come from Italy.

That’s why I decided to take this DNA Test, called “My Heritage”.
I want to know where I really come from, not the nationality written on my passport. I know who my mom and dad are, I know they’re born in Italy from Italian parents… but what happens when we go back in time, searching in the past centuries? Maybe I do have some ancestors from Russia or other East European countries I have never even thought about!

I chose this DNA Test over the others because not all of them are available in my country, and it was one of most cheap with the best results. Low cost, high quality!
You can make it comfortably at home, it wont hurt you as it doesn’t need any blood sample but just a small amount of saliva. Once completed all the steps carefully following the instructions, just send the envelope to the lab, and in 4/8 weeks you will have the results!

“My Heritage” Test contains:

  • Pre-compiled envelope with the Laboratory address (you add yours on the empty lines)
  • 2 cheek swabs
  • 2 vials containing a liquid
  • A small “Biohazard” plastic bag containing a cotton pad
  • Activation code
  • Instructions

To take the test follow the instructions carefully: you need to stop eating or drinking anything at least 30 minutes before taking the test (I went for 1 hour, just to be sure).
First of all, carefully open a swab without touching the cotton-like surface with your hand and rub it inside ONE cheek for 30/60 seconds. Then open one of the vials, insert the swab in the liquid and break the swab end inside (it has a small black line on it, it will break easily), then close the vial ermetically. Do the same thing with the other swab inside the other ceek, then insert both vials in the plastic bag on the cotton pad. Close it and put it inside the white envelope.

Now you just need to activate your kit online or with the smartphone app! Easy, isn’t it? It will only take like 4 minutes of your life, and in a pair of months you will know exactly where your ancestors came from! I think it’s one of the most fascinating things I’ve ever done in my life: in a few weeks I will get to know what my true origins are, and if they are completely different from what I expected.
We should all do this test, some people would be shocked by the results… and it’s not always a bad thing.

Venice – First Day

We came home yesterday in the late afternoon due to a delay of our train, but I had three full hours of travel where I had all the time I needed to choose the best pictures of this journey. We only stayed there for 2 days, since we arrived on Saturday at midday and left on monday at 1 pm… but it has been the trip of my life. Keep on reading to understand why!

We arrived at the Hotel after like 40 minutes of walking with our luggage, taking them up and down the bridges we found along the way, discovering only in the evening there was a boat for public transport that had a stop just outside our Hotel.
Just the time for recovering our energy and we went sightseeing the city after eating something!

We went to the “Osteria La Lanterna da Gas”, which also had some Gluten Free pasta for my boyfriend Davide. He took spaghetti with bolognese sauce while I went for spaghetti with squid ink. They are made with cuttlefish and its ink, fresh tomatoes and tomato sauce. I enjoyed every bite as the fish was sooo tender and the taste was amazing!

As soon as we finished eating our lunch we started walking to Rialto Bridge and San Marco Square, which were actually at only 30 minutes from us, but it took us almost 2 hours to reach them as Google Maps dind’t work well and the road signs led us to the wrong direction… but finally we reached Rialto! The view from the bridge was wonderful and there were people dressed for the Carnival with fantastic dresses.

Anyway there were too many people on Rialto Bridge, so we immediately went to San Marco. I didn’t remember how majestic the Square was, and I’ve been there four times in my life, but never during the Carnival. It’s great ’cause there’s music and shows, people in vintage 18th Century clothes, and you can drink Vin Brulé… which is hot red wine with sweet spices and sugar. You will love it.

I had to take some good pictures (yeah, selfies) of me and Davide as I was so excited of being in Venice! It truly is a magical city, you should all go there at least once in a lifetime… and I suggest going during the Carnival, even if the weather it’s really cold, so bring all your heavy clothes with you, you’re going to need them!
We started walking back to the hotel as it was almost 6 pm, and we wanted to rest a bit before going to have dinner somewhere… but we got lost. Ahahah! We couldn’t find the right way to go back to where we came from since we were now on the other side of the river and the only bridges that we could use to cross it were too far from us. This is when we found out there was a boat that goes around the Canal! So it took like one hour to find where to take the boat, and it was dinner time.

We went to another restaurant which name is Dolfin and it’s a Pizza & Restaurant, the staff was great and also it was the food, so we came back also the next days for launch and dinner as they make a menù with first course, main course and side dish for just 17€! Once we finished I wanted to have some Vin Brulé so we went to a little bar who made a really tasty one, but Davide stopped on a bridge and did something thet changed this trip to Venice in something much more important.

…He knelt down before me with the most woderful ring in his hands and I was already crying and saying “Yes!” even before he asked the question. So we are now engaged, and we need to start thinking about the marriage…and I don’t even know where to start from! But we are so happy, and that’s all that matters!
The first day in Venice ended in the most perfect way I could even imagine, with the engagemente ring on my finger and a glass of Vin Brulé in my hands.
